Fame at last, and a new home

Jensen and Bristol

Jensen C-V8 and Bristol 410 in Classic and Sports Car magazine, December 2014 issue.

Well 2013 came and went, and 2014 has almost gone too. However the 410 soldiers on, as evidenced in this month’s Classic and Sports Car magazine. They were after a 410 at pretty short notice so I went along to Chobham Test Track for a photoshoot  a month or so ago. Writer James Elliot and photographer Tony Baker got to work while the Jensen owner and I drove the cars for the pictures. It was a little odd being the subject of a photoshoot for a change, and quite eye-opening to drive a car being photographed instead of being the one hanging out the back of the camera car. Despite their similarities, the cars are quite different, but the impression I got from the article is that Interceptor-driving Elliott preferred the 410 to the C-V8. Correctly of course!

In other news, 410 Short Stories has moved! We are now self-hosted and running a WordPress blog on the bristol410.com domain. All the content should have come over from Blogger so if you’re new to the blog you can browse the archives here. There will be some tweaks to the appearance and colours as we settle in, but I thought a new home might inspire me to be a little more active in promoting the wonders of the Bristol 410. On past form however, I make no promises…
